This is a beautiful vintage small vase made in West Germany during the 1970s. It was produced by the prestigious and historic ceramics company Villeroy & Boch. The clean, modern form is perfect for the Mid-Century or Retro home.
The cylindrical vase features a smooth, glossy brown glaze with a dense white speckled pattern. This earthy color and texture was a very popular style for high-end ceramics of the 1970s. It is marked on the base with the classic 1748 company year.
Villeroy & Boch was first established by François Boch and his sons in Lorraine in 1748. The company is known for its long tradition of quality and innovative production methods. Their designs, including pieces by designer Christine Reuter, are still collected and celebrated today.
