Vintage VEST KERAMIEK Van Woerden Fat Lava Vase with Rubens Glaze E7 Dutch Pottery 1970s

Authentic piece of Dutch studio art pottery: a Vintage VEST KERAMIEK wall plaque or decorative bowl from the 1970s. This piece was produced by Van Woerden Aardewerk (later Vest Keramiek) and features the striking 'Rubens' Fat Lava glaze and model no. E7.

This unique object has a distinctive, almost pillow-like square form with slightly rounded corners.
The textured 'Rubens' glaze is a beautiful combination of earthy brown and a creamy, speckled pattern, giving it a true 'fat lava' look and feel.

Vest Keramiek was a Dutch pottery company founded by brothers Marius and Hugo van Woerden in Gouda. They were active from 1964 until 1984, first under the name "Van Woerden Gouda Aardewerk" and then as "Vest Keramiek." The brothers' work is celebrated for its unique forms and innovative glazes, which were heavily influenced by the West German "Fat Lava" movement. Their pieces are highly sought after by collectors of both Dutch and European mid-century pottery.
