This ceramic planter, or cache pot, is a functional and colorful piece of collectible West German Pottery. It was manufactured by ÜBELACKER KERAMIK (often marked Ü-KERAMIK), dating from the 1970s.
The planter has a gently flared, classic cache pot shape (Form 183-17). It is covered in a vibrant, contrasting glaze combination of bright yellow and rich green, with a textured, banded pattern around the pot. This piece offers a great splash of vintage color for any indoor plant display.
ÜBELACKER Keramik was a significant producer of WGP, known especially for its diverse range of planters and decorative pottery. Their items are highly popular today for their strong colors and practical, timeless forms.
Condition: The ceramic body is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The pot shows a glaze firing defect (kiln burn) visible as a dark mark in the 3rd picture.
