This colorful Schramberg Majolika Fabrik (SMF) jug vase features the vibrant Riva décor, designed by Elfi Stadler during the 1950s.
The playful hand-painted pattern in red, yellow, green, blue, black, and white perfectly reflects the optimistic Mid Century Modern style for which SMF became famous.
Elfi Stadler worked for Schramberg from 1953 to 1963 and is now regarded as one of the most important designers in post-war German ceramics.
