This vintage Scheurich Keramik vase, model 522-18 (not visible), is a beautiful example of West German Fat Lava pottery from the postwar design boom. It features a classic mid-century form with a striking white and gray glaze that mimics the textured, flowing surface of volcanic rock—hence the name “Fat Lava.”
