A striking vintage Scheurich Keramik vase made in West Germany. The tall tapered form is covered in a highly expressive lava glaze combining soft pink, deep blue, turquoise and dark brown tones.
The surface has a wonderfully organic, cratered texture with irregular pools and raised areas of glaze, giving the vase the characteristic look associated with West German Fat Lava pottery. The contrasting colours and sculptural surface make this a particularly decorative Scheurich piece with plenty of visual depth and texture.
