This striking vintage vase was designed by Kurt Tschörner for Ruscha Keramik and features the highly collectible Vulkano decor. Produced in West Germany during the 1960s, the vase combines a bold architectural shape with a vibrant volcanic red glaze accented by darker lava-like effects.
The distinctive twin-handled form and fiery surface treatment make this piece a wonderful example of the expressive ceramic designs that made West German Pottery famous worldwide. Its sculptural appearance allows it to work equally well as a decorative object or as part of a serious Fat Lava collection.
