This is an authentic Vintage Fat Lava vase, model 333, made by the influential Ruscha Keramik of West Germany. This collectible jug-vase perfectly represents the bold, expressive design of the Mid-Century Modern movement.
The vase has a classic globular form with a small handle and a narrow neck. Its surface features a dramatic Fat Lava glaze using deep cobalt blue over a rich brown base. The addition of creamy white and rusty orange "lava" texture creates a dynamic, highly tactile finish.
Ruscha Keramik was founded in 1948 by Rudolf Schardt and became a leader in post-war German ceramics. The shape of this vase, model 333, is attributed to the renowned designer Kurt Tschörner, a key figure in the "Fat Lava" aesthetic.
