This ceramic vase is a rare example of post-war German Studio Art Pottery. It was handmade by Rudi Stahl at his workshop, known as Künsttöpferei Rudi Stahl. These pieces represent high-quality mid-century art ceramics.
The vase has a simple, organic egg shape with a very small opening at the top. It is finished with a striking, uniform matte blue glaze. The surface is smooth and non-reflective, giving it a modern and elegant appearance.
Rudi Stahl (1927–2004) opened his own studio in the town of Hilgert, Germany, in 1949. He focused on high-quality design and glazes rather than mass-production. His work is known for its pure shapes and often subtle, experimental glazes.
