Founded in 1964 by Otto Gerharz, Otto Keramik was a smaller company known for its obsessive focus on glaze chemistry. Working with designer Kurt Tschörner, Gerharz created unique and expressive pieces that were not mass-produced, making them particularly desirable among collectors. Many of their pieces, including this one, feature a felt base to protect furniture.
