This vintage Marei Keramik vase, model 106/16, is a beautiful example of iconic 1970s West German Fat Lava pottery. It features a striking combination of a bright orange glazed neck and a heavily textured volcanic brown body, giving the piece a bold and sculptural appearance. The integrated handle and organic surface make it a wonderful statement piece for Mid-Century Modern, brutalist or retro interiors.
Marei Keramik (Majolikafabrik Rheinbach) was one of Germany's most innovative pottery manufacturers during the post-war period. Their designs became highly sought after for their experimental glazes, unusual textures and artistic shapes, making them popular collector's pieces today.
