This striking vintage porcelain vase was produced by Kerafina Porzellanfabrik in West Germany during the 1970s. It features a beautiful combination of matte white biscuit porcelain and a textured black glaze that creates a bold contrast and a modern sculptural look.
Its cylindrical shape and geometric design make it a wonderful decorative piece for Mid-Century Modern, Space Age and contemporary interiors. The vase looks beautiful as a standalone object and adds a stylish touch to a sideboard, shelf or cabinet.
The base is marked Royal KPM Bavaria, a brand name that was often used by Kerafina Porzellanfabrik during this period. This is Kerafina's own trade name and not a separate manufacturer.
The base is also marked with form number 599/2.
