This beautiful vintage Jopeko Keramik planter with "Lava" decor was made in West Germany during the 1970s. It features a striking combination of bright red and textured black glaze, a classic look from the popular Fat Lava era.
The contrast between the glossy red top and the rough volcanic black surface gives this planter a bold and eye-catching appearance. Its simple shape makes it easy to style in many interiors, from Mid-Century Modern and Scandinavian to eclectic and colourful homes. It looks wonderful with a small plant, but it is equally decorative as a standalone piece.
Jopeko Keramik is a family-owned company founded in 1948 in Ransbach-Baumbach, Germany, and is well known for its experimental lava glazes and unique ceramic designs from the Mid-Century period.
