This beautiful hand-painted bowl by Jasba Keramik, model 665-20, is a wonderful example of colorful West German pottery from the 1950s. The elegant organic shape with gracefully curved ends is decorated with vibrant floral motifs in blue, orange, green, and yellow, contrasted by a rich yellow exterior and a soft green interior glaze. This decor is called "Schiras"
The combination of hand-painted decoration and sculptural form gives this piece a cheerful Mid-Century Modern character. Whether used as a fruit bowl, centerpiece, or purely decorative display piece, it brings a distinctive touch of 1950s European design to any interior.
