Striking vintage Japanese studio pottery vase with a beautifully rounded ovoid form and small offset opening. The glossy dark brown to near-black glaze shows wonderful metallic bronze, copper and deep reddish tones that change with the light.

A beautifully minimalist and sculptural ceramic piece. The base bears an impressed Japanese mitsudomoe mark, a traditional symbol that has been used by various Japanese potters and kilns; therefore no specific maker is attributed.
