Iconic vintage glass vase known as the 'Aurinkopullo' (Sun Bottle). This stunning piece of Scandinavian design was created by Helena Tynell for the Finnish company Riihimäen Lasi Oy (Riihimäki Glass).
The bottle-shaped vase is made of beautiful, heavy, olive-green glass. It features a distinctive circular, flattened body with a prominent sunburst or ray pattern on both sides. The circular rays create a wonderful textural and optical effect on the glass.
Helena Tynell (1918–2016) was a respected Finnish glass artist known for her distinct style. The 'Aurinkopullo' (Sun Bottle) series is one of her most famous and collectible designs. The piece has a gold 'finncristal' sticker, which was a name used by Riihimäen Lasi.
