A charming vintage La Pintade ceramic quail by Heidi Caillard, handmade in Lussan in the south of France.
The rounded bird is finished in a glossy white glaze with a delicate rose-pink / lilac crackle-style pattern, complemented by small hand-painted details on the head.
Heidi Caillard began creating her now-iconic ceramic guinea hens in Lussan in 1974. Each bird was individually handcrafted and hand-painted, giving every example its own character.
The original base label is still present and reads CAILLE – Heidi C. – Hand Made in France.
