Vintage HARRACHOV or HARRACH blue cased glass vase in "Evening Blue" colour, Czechoslowakia 1960-1970s.
Designed by Milan Metelak, head designer of Harach in 1961 where he was working since 1955.
Forms from this practical range are simple and are typically heavy and thickly-blown, giving dept to the strong colours.
Heavy, high, colourless bases became a hallmark feature of Metelak design.
The Harrachov glassworks was privatised in 1993, and is still in production today, now known as Sklarna Novosad & Syn Bohemia Harrachov.
