This elegant Gerz vase features a tall conical shape with a distinctive angular handle and warm terracotta orange glaze. The fine horizontal lines create a beautiful sense of movement and make this vase a striking example of mid-century German ceramics.
Its sculptural form makes it a wonderful decorative piece for a shelf, sideboard or dining table. The vase looks beautiful on its own but can also be used to display dried flowers.
Gerz is best known for its traditional German beer steins, but its decorative ceramics from the 1960s and 1970s have become highly collectible as well. Many Gerz and Ilkra vases were incorrectly attributed to Clemens & Huhn for years due to matching shape numbers, making authentic Gerz pieces increasingly appreciated by collectors today.
