This striking ceramic vase is a beautiful and collectible example of West German Pottery (WGP) from the late 1960s to the 1970s. Manufactured by Fohr Keramik, this piece features the recognizable Form 300 and stands 25.5 cm tall.
The vase features a stylish, gently flared neck with a bulbous body. It is finished in a deep, glossy purple glaze that is elegantly contrasted by a metallic brown/bronze glaze around the top.
Fohr Keramik, located in the Westerwald region, was a significant manufacturer of West German art pottery. Active between the 1950s and 1980s, Fohr specialized in high-quality decorative ceramics known for using rich, deep glazes and distinctive applied decoration, often including metallic effects or stylized bands, which gives their pieces a unique, luxurious flair sought after by collectors.
Condition: The ceramic body is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
