Striking vintage Dümler & Breiden vase, model 31/15, made in West Germany during the 1960s. The rounded form is covered in a strongly textured glaze combining deep cobalt blue with cream, brown and earthy beige tones.
Dümler & Breiden, founded in Höhr-Grenzhausen, was an important producer of modern German ceramics during the post-war period. The company became particularly known for combining contemporary forms with increasingly experimental and expressive glaze techniques during the 1960s.
This vase is in excellent vintage condition.
