This beautiful 1960s vase (model 200) was designed by the famous artist Gerda Heuckeroth. It has a classic shape with a sturdy handle and is covered in a deep blue glaze that looks wonderful in any light.
The thick and bubbly Fat Lava decor gives the surface a great texture and a very unique look. This piece is a fantastic example of the high-quality art pottery made in West Germany during the mid-century era.
Carstens Tönnieshof was a famous family-run company that became one of the biggest pottery makers in West Germany. They were known for creating many different styles and glazes, and their work is still very popular with collectors all over the world today.
