This ceramic vase is a unique and collectible piece of West German Pottery. It was designed by Rudolf Christmann and made by CARSTENS KERAMIK around 1967.
The vase features a striking rhombic or diamond shape with prominent rib decor. It is finished in a warm brown glaze with thick, dark accents and a volcanic-style Fat Lava texture on the body. This angular design perfectly captures the modernist aesthetic of the late 1960s WGP era.
CARSTENS KERAMIK was a major WGP manufacturer with a long history of ceramic production. Rudolf Christmann was a celebrated in-house designer known for his modernist, geometric forms.
Condition: The ceramic body is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
