This large ceramic bowl is an exceptional piece of West German Pottery (WGP), showcasing the typical earthen tones and vibrant abstract glazes of the 1960s and 1970s. Produced by the renowned Carstens Keramik, the piece carries the model number 1075-31.

The bowl features a broad, deep, and robust form, making it ideal as a centerpiece, fruit bowl, or decorative dish. The interior and exterior are decorated with a rich blend of glazes: a warm beige/brown base inside dramatically accented by a brilliant teal blue glaze on the outside.

Carstens Keramik was one of the largest and most prolific manufacturers of West German Pottery, with its roots tracing back to the late 19th century. Active throughout the WGP period, Carstens produced an enormous range of innovative designs.
