Impressive large vintage ceramic fish platter designed and hand-painted by Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist (GOG) for Arabia Finland. Made in the Arabia Ateljé studio, the approximately 60 cm long platter features a striking stylized fish in deep cobalt blue, grey-blue and green tones, with beautifully detailed hand-painted scales and patterns.
A wonderful example of Finnish Scandinavian ceramic design from the second half of the 20th century and a real statement piece for display or a collection of Arabia pottery. It is signed “ARABIA FINLAND ATELJE GOG” on the reverse; there are some scratches from use and a chip on the rim, consistent with its vintage age.
