This rare wall mask shows a young girl with a sweet expression and a bright teal hat. It was made by Achatit Werkstätten in West Germany during the 1950s. The mask is made from a special material that looks like carved wood but is actually a unique mixture of plaster and epoxy resindeveloped by the company.
Designed by Hans Schirmer, this piece is a beautiful example of mid-century German art. It has a warm, reddish-brown finish that makes it look very classic and elegant. On the back, you can still see the original gold stickers and the form number 1218, proving it is an authentic vintage item.
