This rare Ruscha Keramik Dokumenta Series wall plaque was designed by Adele Bolz in 1962. One of Ruscha's most celebrated designers, Bolz created this expressive relief featuring two majestic horses, beautifully rendered in shades of cobalt blue and soft grey against a dramatic textured Fat Lava background in vibrant red and earthy brown.
A wonderful example of early West German studio ceramics, this sculptural wall plaque combines bold color, artistic relief, and the unmistakable craftsmanship of Ruscha Keramik.
