Beautiful vintage Schlossberg Keramik vase, model 231/20, made in West Germany during the 1960s. The tall cylindrical form features the striking Saphir decor, combining a heavily textured pale relief surface with vivid cobalt-blue glazed squares and abstract raised patterns.
Introduced around 1966, Saphir is one of Schlossberg’s distinctive mid-century relief designs, using intense blue glaze almost like small gemstones against the rough ceramic surface. The combination of geometric decoration and contrasting textures gives the vase a particularly strong architectural character.
