Vintage Mdina Glass vase from Malta, dating from the 1970s and associated with designer Eric Dobson, who was one of the important early designers at Mdina. The rounded UFO-shaped body is made in rich turquoise blue glass with flowing brown, cream and white inclusions, creating a beautiful organic swirling pattern.
The vase has the original Mdina Glass foil label and is also hand-signed on the base. Its sculptural form and distinctive color combination make it a strong example of collectible Maltese art glass from the classic Mdina period.
