A striking vintage Italian ceramic planter by Bitossi, designed by Aldo Londi and dating from the 1960s.
The planter has a wonderfully graphic mid-century design with horizontal bands in yellow, ochre and orange-red, combined with fine black grid lines and small black dot accents over a white glazed ground.
The hand-decorated geometric pattern is typical of Londi’s bold modernist approach and gives the piece a lively, unmistakably Italian character. A beautiful decorative planter for a Mid-Century Modern, Italian design or eclectic interior. The underside is hand-marked “N. 30/12” and "Italy".
