Vintage STEULER KERAMIK Brown Fat Lava Vase by Heiner Balzar Objekte Series 912 West German Pottery 1980s

A unique and collectible piece of West German Pottery from the highly-regarded Steuler "Objekte" series. It was designed by Heiner Balzar for STEULER KERAMIK, likely in the 1980s.

The vase features a distinctive geometric triangular shape and is finished in a subtle brown glaze with rich, dark brown accents. This piece showcases a fusion of modernist form and volcanic glaze experimentation.

Heiner Balzar, the son of well-known ceramist Elfriede Balzar Kopp, was born in 1937.
He worked for 5 years at Steuler (1980 -1985). His studio pieces are extremly rare and of very high quality. This Steuler vase was designed by Heiner Balzar as part of his ‘Objekt’ series between 1983 and 1986.

Condition: The ceramic body is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
