This attractive vintage ceramic vase is a piece of West German Pottery (WGP) from the 1970s, produced by Scheurich Keramik. It features the desirable 'Lora' decor combined with the iconic textured Fat Lava glaze.

The vase has a sturdy, classic form and is marked with the form number 291-20. The Lora decor is characterized by its bright white, highly textured, bubbly surface and the red glossy zig zag pattern above.

Scheurich Keramik, founded in 1954, was arguably the most successful and prolific producer of West German Pottery. While they manufactured a huge range of forms, they are celebrated for popularizing the bold colors and textural glazes that defined the Fat Lava era. Scheurich focused on mass appeal by offering high-quality, fashion-forward pieces at accessible prices.
