This is a vibrant vintage bottle-shaped vase from the highly collectible West German Pottery era. It was produced by the popular company Scheurich Keramik in the 1970s. The model number of this collectible item is 260-22.
The vase has a warm ochre yellow glossy base glaze. It features the famous Inka decor, which has bold, abstract geometric patterns in brown, white, and black. This striking combination of colors and patterns is a classic representation of the 1970s design aesthetic.
Scheurich Keramik was founded in 1928 by Alois Scheurich and became the biggest producer of home ceramics in West Germany. Designer Heinz Siery was responsible for many of their distinctive and best-selling shapes and decorations.
This vase is in excellent condition, with only a minor firing flaw from production, see last picture.
