Vintage ROYAL COPENHAGEN Tenera Faïence Vase 148 2740 by Inge-Lise Koefoed from Denmark 1960s
Vintage ROYAL COPENHAGEN Tenera Faïence Vase 148 2740 by Inge-Lise Koefoed from Denmark 1960s
A beautiful and highly decorative vintage Royal Copenhagen Tenera faience vase, designed by Danish artist Inge-Lise Koefoed. The elegant flattened bottle shape features her distinctive hand-painted abstract “eye” decoration in rich cobalt blue, white and purple, with a different composition on each side.
This is model 148/2740, where 148 refers to Koefoed’s decoration and 2740 to the vase shape. Koefoed was one of six young Scandinavian female artists brought into the faience department by Nils Thorsson in 1958, whose designs became an important part of Royal Copenhagen’s celebrated Tenera series.
Decorative items shown in the photos are for styling purposes only and are not included in the sale.
