A beautiful vintage studio pottery vase by Lu Klopfer (Johann Lipp Mering), produced in West Germany during the 1960s. This striking cylindrical vase features an intricate geometric relief pattern covering the entire body, creating a wonderful architectural and almost tribal-inspired texture.
The vase is finished in warm earthy brown and beige tones with a subtly mottled glaze that highlights the raised decoration. Its sculptural appearance makes it an excellent display piece, whether showcased on its own or as part of a collection of German studio ceramics.
The base bears the original Keramik Weber Köln retailer label and the impressed model number 200/19.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor age-related wear consistent with careful use.
