The sculptural form is covered in a heavily cratered turquoise, white and brown lava glaze, with a vivid orange-red glazed center.
The bold volcanic texture and contrasting colors are very characteristic of the experimental Vallauris pottery of this period. A striking decorative piece with strong brutalist and mid-century character.
