A beautiful vintage German pottery vase with elegant hand-painted fish decor, made in an engobe style often associated with mid-century German ceramics. The vase has a dark matte surface with fine line decoration, soft blue accents and a stylized underwater scene, giving it a very refined 1950s–60s look. The shape is marked with form number 2012.
The manufacturer is still unknown. The style and decoration strongly reminds of Kiechle, Gebr. Haas or Marei Keramik, although we cannot confirm this attribution. A lovely decorative piece for collectors of unusual German pottery, fish decor ceramics and mid-century modern design. Please see all photos for details.
