This distinctive rectangular vase was produced by Johgus on the Danish island of Bornholm and features a striking relief decoration depicting a stylized troll or mythological figure. The earthy brown glaze beautifully highlights the deeply sculpted design, giving the piece a strong Scandinavian folk art character.
Johgus was founded in 1944 by Johannes Pedersen and Gustav Ottesen, hence the name Johgus.
