This striking vase by Jasba Keramik, model 905/12/19 from the "Florina"Series, is a wonderful example of authentic West German Fat Lava pottery from the 1970s. The cylindrical handled form is decorated with a dramatic volcanic glaze featuring a rich dark brown base, fiery amber tones, and a heavily textured white lava surface filled with characteristic crater-like bubbles.
The spectacular glaze effects make every piece unique, showcasing the experimental ceramic techniques that made Fat Lava pottery so popular during the Mid-Century era. Despite its compact size, this vase has a strong visual impact and looks beautiful displayed on a shelf, sideboard, or within a collection of West German ceramics.
