This is a wonderful vintage vase from Jasba Keramik, a key producer of mid-century German ceramics. This piece, from the highly recognizable "Nimrod" series, dates to the mid-1960s.
The vase has a squat, rounded form that beautifully showcases its remarkable texture. The entire body is covered in a rich, dark brown matte glaze. The defining feature is the "Nimrod" decor, which consists of striking vertical ridges that wrap around the vase, creating a beautiful columnar pattern that gives the piece a tactile and sculptural feel.
