Sculptural vintage Doppel-Kobra twin vase by Heiner Düsterhaus for Vera Walther, made in Germany during the 1980s. Two tall asymmetrical glass forms curve together into one composition, decorated with silvered surfaces, fine linear details and softly iridescent glass.
Düsterhaus created distinctive studio glass for Vera Walther, often using elongated, organically distorted forms combined with metallic and iridescent decoration. The Doppel-Kobra design is one of his most recognizable sculptural forms, with the paired necks giving the piece a striking architectural silhouette.
