Vintage GRAMANN RÖMHILD Topferei Studio Art Pottery Greenish Blue Speckled Vase East German Pottery 1960s

This is a wonderful vintage studio art vase made by Töpferei Gramann Römhild. This handcrafted piece of East German Pottery (GDR) beautifully showcases the unique artistry of the region.

The vase has a distinctive organic, hand-thrown shape with a simple, rounded form. It is covered in a highly textured speckled glaze that creates a mesmerizing visual effect. The colors are a complex interplay of blue, greenish-black, and grey hues, giving the surface a rich and earthy appearance.

Töpferhof Gramann Römhild was a prominent studio pottery workshop in Thuringia, East Germany. Led by Siegfried Gramann from 1958, the firm became the leading company for "Artisan Ceramics" in East Germany. Their hand-made works are highly valued by collectors of Mid-Century Modern studio pottery for their individualistic designs.
