This striking West German studio pottery jug vase was made by Elisabeth Pluquet Ulrich in Bremen, Germany. The rounded body, narrow neck, elegant handle and small spout give this piece a very refined and sculptural mid-century look.
The glaze has a beautiful dark blue, black and reddish-brown tone, finished with a decorative geometric band around the shoulder. The vase is signed on the base with the artist’s monogram, indicating its authentic handmade production by Elisabeth Pluquet Ulrich.
Please note: this vase has a small damage to the rim/spout area, as shown in the photos. Despite this, it remains a beautiful and highly decorative piece for collectors of German studio pottery, handmade ceramics and 1960s/1970s ceramic art.
