This stylish vintage vase, crafted by CARSTENS KERAMIK in West Germany during the mid-20th century, is a classic example of mid-century modern pottery.
The vase features a unique, cylindrical shape with a rich brown glaze, with a relief pattern of prehistoric horse cave drawings, decor is called: Altamira (1968)
This vase is in excellent condition, except for a small chip at the bottom rim (see last picture) which does not detract when the vase is displayed.
