This exceptional studio pottery vase is a collaboration between Margarete Frauer and her husband Heinz H. Engler, created at the Oberschwäbische Töpferwerkstatt in Biberach during the 1950s. It features a sophisticated conically-shaped body adorned with hand-painted abstract patterns that epitomize West German modernist design.
The piece represents the pinnacle of 1950s "Studiokeramik," where Frauer’s expert craftsmanship brought Engler’s minimalist visions to life. This rare collector's item is in excellent vintage condition and is truly museum-worthy, serving as a significant example of mid-century European ceramic history.
This art vase is in very good condition, one small imperfection in the glaze, not sure if this is a manufacturing flaw or minor damage, please see last picture.
