This rare and striking vintage wall plate showcases the bold and geometric aesthetic of brutalist design. Handpainted by the talented Hungarian artist Agnes Hegyi, the plate features a vibrant color palette of red, black, and yellow, arranged in a dynamic and eye-catching pattern.
The artist, Agnes Hegyi, collaborated with Ilona Benko in a Budapest workshop, located on Munkacsy Street, during 1965. Although they created similar ceramic pieces together, each piece was signed by the individual artist who crafted it, resulting in different signatures on the back.
