Large Vintage West German Studio Pottery Bowl Kunstkammer Köster Exhibition Piece Brown Ceramic 1960s 1970s
This impressive large studio pottery bowl was created in West Germany during the 1960s or 1970s by an unknown ceramic artist. It features a wide organic shape with a beautiful earthy glaze in shades of brown, black and golden yellow, creating a textured surface reminiscent of the celebrated Fat Lava aesthetic. Its timeless design makes it a striking centerpiece for a dining table, coffee table or modern interior.
An original Kunstkammer Köster label on the base indicates that this bowl was exhibited at the renowned gallery founded by Dr. Paul Köster in 1960. The gallery became known for presenting both fine art and exceptional studio ceramics, helping to blur the boundaries between visual and applied arts. This bowl is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Please study the photos carefully as they form part of the description.
